Robin

This Robin design is made using a lino printing method. I cut the design into a board of lino using specialist carving blades, in two sizes, that create the classic lino 'stripe' effect for the robin's feathers and snow.
I chose a stark white card to print this design on, so that the bold red ink really looked christmassy, and the snow was as white as possible. I loved carving this little fellow, with his big red chest and neat feathers.

Each card is printed by hand, and finished with my signature on the reverse of the card. Inside it is blank, so that you can write you own special Christmas message.

The Star design is, like the Robin, a lino print. This design really makes the most of the classic lino print stripes as they are a key part of the design - emphasising the shining star's rays over the small stable.
This design is also on stark white paper, but this time to emphasise the brightness of the star's rays falling on Bethlehem below. The subject is biblical, as the Magi in the New testament saw a star that they followed in order to see the new born King, Jesus.

Like the Robin, each card is printed by hand and finished with my signature on the reverse of the card. Inside it is blank, so that you can write you own special Christmas message, and perhaps a good news verse.
